Learning Support
In the Junior School, classes Reception to Y2 have a Teacher Assistant in each class and classes Y3 to Y6 share the services of a Teaching Assistant. The Junior School has a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) who liaises between the parents, teachers and external services where necessary. We have the services of a qualified teacher who specialises in dyslexia who provides additional support for those children who have a need in this area. This service is available at an additional cost after consultation with SENCO and the Headteacher.
In Sept 2007 the school will have in place an Inclusion Manager who will have dedicated time to work with parents, children and teachers in ensuring all the needs of the children are met. These needs will range from Learning Difficulties to Gifted and Talented.
