Introduction
Quinton House Junior School provides a happy, secure and stimulating start to a child's academic career. Based at "The Lindens", formally the stable block for Upton Hall, it offers a friendly environment of activity and order, in which a caring attitude amongst the children and their teachers is developed from the earliest age. High standards of behaviour and academic achievement are expected, at the same time recognising and nurturing the individual needs of all pupils.
Parental Involvement
Our "open door" policy means that parents always have access to teachers, Head of Junior School and the Principal. Each year there are two formal reports and two Parents' Consultation Evenings. During our annual Open Evening - an informal event - children invite their parents to look at displays, to tour the school, view books, enjoy performances and to ask as many questions as they like. In addition parents are invited to curriculum evenings and special occasions such as class assemblies, festivals in the church, Sports days, concerts and plays. At the beginning of each term parents receive a curriculum newsletter, outlining areas which will be worked upon in lessons.
