SEN

Quinton House School is a small, non-selective school with a reputation for its welcoming, friendly atmosphere and SEN provision.

The school seeks to raise pupils' levels of achievement by providing support and guidance to students and by removing barriers in order to promote individual learning.

SEN staff are based in the Study Support Centre with the latest software, specialist resources and internet access.  Pupils are always able to access the Study Support Cente, without appointment before and after school and during break times. However, SEN provision is not confined to the centre and support extends to every aspect of school life.

  • Special one to one or small group study skills for pupils with specific learning difficulties
  • Clinics for handwriting skills, social and emotional difficulties, organisational skills, GCSEs and life skills to name but a few.
  • Teaching Assistants who support pupils within the classroom.
  • Staff who receive regular SEN training and who ensure each child's needs are met.
  • Staff who work in partnership with parents.

Each pupil is offered the necessary support to enable them to achieve their full potential, every child matters and in our small and caring school no-one is missed.
