Quinton's First Equestrian Show !
BBC Choral Ambition
The Junior Choir and some Year 7 students will be among more than 100 participants taking part in the BBC Choral Ambition performance this Saturday (25th September) at St Lawrence’s Church, Towcester The theme is a Venetian Pageant with music originally written for the multiple choirs of St Mark’s Basilica in Venice at the turn of the 17th century.
The programme will include dances, processions, brass playing, bell-ringing, and of course choral music, including Andrea Gabrieli’s striking battle piece Battaglia all performed in Towcester’s historic church.
Quinton House students will be singing and dancing, coached by dance expert Caroline Windsor and by Quinton's very own singing expert Lucie Diedhiou all under the baton of Penelope Rapson director of Fiori Musicali.
The BBC, the Maud Elkington Trust and South Northamptonshire Council are all supporting the event and we wish the students well for this very important performance.
