Pastoral Care
Each pupil is a member of both a form and a House. The Form Tutor provides daily pastoral care and will get to know each individual and their family. House Tutors and 6th Formers assume responsibility for the younger pupils. Each one has its own colours, banner and a clear identity. House competitions are lively events and there are regular fundraisers too for House charities.
Our regular assemblies may be lead by The Headteacher, a visiting speaker, pupil groups or other staff. They provide a focus for personal reflection as well as routine practical matters. Since our pupils come from a wide range of social, ethnic and religious backgrounds with many nationalities - we encourage a sense of belonging. Respect for different cultures, is central to our approach.
Christmas is a special time. St Michael's Church, adorned and candle-lit, becomes the focus for our family celebrations. The whole school is decorated; the Ballroom is used for a whole host of end of term celebrations.
