Physical Education, Sport and Games

The PE and Sport programme at Quinton House is an integral part of school life. We recognise that sport is not everyone's bag, but leading a fit and active life is important for our community's well-being.  Our aim is to provide sporting opportunities for all and for each young person to leave school with the intention of carrying on in participating in at least one sport.

The PE and Sport programme is led by Mr Tom Muskin, the school's Director of Sport who works very closely with the Principal (whose background is in this area) to deliver and develop the very best sporting provision.

The PE curriculum starts at 2 years old and continues through to the 6th form.  Pupils will develop skills, knowledge and understanding of a variety of different sports as well as health and fitness in their PE lessons.  From Year 3 onwards, Games is added to the curriculum and the school's focus sports are Rugby, Football and Cricket (for boys), Netball, Hockey and Rounders (for girls).  The school play regular fixtures and tournaments with other schools in these sports.  Additional fixtures and competitive opportunities with other schools include Athletics, Cross-Country and Swimming.
