Admissions Process

Admissions Process

Thank you so much for your interest in Quinton House School.  My name is Claire Ballantyne and I am the Admissions Registrar.  I will look after your enquiry and help you through the admission process all the way until your child joins us. You can contact me via phone or email 01604 684828 or at

Choosing a school is an important decision and our aim is to provide you with all the information you need to make the best choice for your son or daughter.

Quinton House is an independent, inclusive school with Preparatory,  Senior and Sixth Form divisions educating children aged 3 to 18.  Places are offered to children who meet the minimum requirements at an initial assessment and who have a track record of good behaviour and a positive attitude to learning. In addition, we only offer places to children whose educational needs can be met by the school.

If you would like to arrange a visit to see the school in person, please email or complete the form below.

We are pleased to be able to now share with you a virtual prospectus enabling you to experience the world of Quinton House online. Please click on the following link to view – Virtual Prospectus

I look forward to meeting you soon.

Step 1

Get in touch

Get in touch with our admissions Registrar on 01604 684828 for an initial chat about your child and to check availability in your required year group.

Step 2

Visit our School on a Private Tour

Contact us to arrange a private tour. You can do this online or by calling 01604 684828. You will have the opportunity to meet our Headmaster Mr Tom Muskin, staff and pupils, and experience the warm and welcoming atmosphere of Quinton House first-hand.

Step 3

Complete and Return a Registration Form

This can be done online or via the form in the prospectus pack. We kindly ask that a non-returnable fee of £75 is paid on submission of the registration form.

Please note that registration is an indication of interest and is not a guarantee of a place.

Step 4

Book a Taster Day

Having visited the school, completed a registration form and paid the registration fee, our Admissions Registrar will arrange a mutually convenient time for your child to attend a taster day. A taster day allows your child to meet fellow classmates and their potential form tutor and to experience a typical day in lessons. Pre-Prep children will spend time with a dedicated member of the Pre-Prep team at a minimum of two settling in sessions.

Preparatory and Senior School children will complete assessments in Maths and English to help us better understand their abilities and learning styles. We will also ask for a copy of your child’s last school report. The taster day is an opportunity for us to assess behaviour and to gather feedback from staff members. We aim to come back to you the next working day following the taster day with our overall feedback.

Step 5

Receive an Offer

Subject to a successful taster day and a satisfactory school reference, you will receive a time-limited formal offer by post.

Step 6

Accept Offer and Complete Registration

Please complete and return the offer paperwork with a non-refundable deposit of £500 (£250 for Nursery) to secure your child’s place. Please note that this deposit is held on your child’s account and is not deducted from the first term’s fees.
