GCSE Results Day 2020
Year 11 Students are celebrating excellent GCSE achievements today with students achieving the highest grade achievable in a vast array of subjects.
After an anxious summer for all GCSE students attributable to COVID-19 and the cancellation of all examinations, we pay tribute to our students’ sheer hard work, resilience and determination during such unprecedented times. Students have displayed a true team spirit by providing invaluable support to one another and have shown what a true community they are.
Among the Year 11 students celebrating their results today are many students who have spent their entire school career at Quinton House School. Having joined the school in nursery and today celebrating their GCSE’s as young adults, it is such a wonderful testament to the school that many of these students have decided to continue their education further at Quinton, by joining the Sixth Form this September.
At Quinton House School, it is not just about academic success. We value the holistic approach to learning and are proud to be a non-selective school. Staff are fully committed to ensuring each student achieves their very own, best possible results and believes students should follow their dreams, striving to achieve whatever they wish to achieve.
Mrs Jo Storey, Principal, said: “It is a pleasure to celebrate with students and staff today and we are immensely proud of our students’ achievements. Our GCSE achievements reflect hard work and commitment shown by both students and staff and I wish students immense success as they move on to the next stage of their educational journey.”
During the summer term this year when students were unable to be physically on site, the school created a brand new, exciting programme specifically for Year 11 students named ‘Inspiring Futures’. The course was set up to help students further develop the key skills, knowledge and understanding they need for stand-out success and it was extremely well received.
This September also sees the relaunch of the Quinton House School Sixth Form with state-of-the-art, purpose built Sixth Form facilities to be unveiled when the new term begins. The school is thrilled to see so many students coming back to join them for the next step in their education and are delighted that the 20/21 cohort is almost full.
