Headmasters Weekly Update – 28th June
Developing our young people as leaders is an important focus for our School Development Plan. I have been delighted to witness our students training with external experts this week in order to deliver emergency first-aid or as our Digital Leaders to support our teachers with the use of the impressive new technologies that we have now incorporated into our classrooms. Our new team of prefects have already impressed with their support and peer leadership at several school events and activities and many will be working alongside our teachers at the forthcoming sports days and this weekend’s Summer Fayre.
The remaining two weeks of the summer term offer the chance to reflect on the achievements and efforts of our students throughout the school year. We look forward to welcoming you to our sports days and prize giving events. Planning for September is almost complete and there are many exciting opportunities for the coming academic year. Our Transition Day for pupils takes place on Wednesday 10th July when all children moving to Reception up to Year 7 will be introduced to their new class teachers for September.
The weather is set fair for this weekend’s Summer Fayre. We do hope that families and pupils will attend and enjoy some of the exciting attractions that have been organised for the day. The fayre includes a ‘food festival’ of quality external providers so we invite you to bring along your picnic blanket and deck-chairs and enjoy lunch with us on Saturday.
