Q5 Pupils Meet Tim Peake at National Space Station

Q5 pupils visited the Space Centre last Friday as a follow up to their term’s work on Earth and Space. They attended a workshop in which they were taught about the hazards of being in space and the new materials that have been developed in space which are now used in everyday items on earth – nappies for example.

Pupils were also fortunate enough to meet Tim Peake who was visiting the Centre so they got to see him in person and hear first-hand about his experiences during his time at the International Space Station. Many pupils were able to get autographs and speak to him in person.

This YouTube video features Tim’s visit and includes a question from one of our very own pupils!
