School Grounds

Upton Hall is an impressive building set in 31 acres of mature grounds of outstanding beauty. The grade 1 listed site is steeped in history with parts dating back to medieval times. Teaching takes place in the main house, the converted coach house and stable block as well as a modern purpose-built sports complex.

The School grounds are also home to St Michael’s, a Norman church now under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust, where the school’s annual harvest festival is held.

The school grounds provide ample space for outdoor recreation and sports. Pupils also benefit from sports fixtures held at other schools. Facilities include an astro pitch, tennis courts and climbing wall, with cricket played at Nether Hertford Cricket Club and swimming taking place off site for selected year groups.

Nursery and Reception pupils attend our on-site accredited Forest School once a week, building confidence and social skills in our outdoor woodland classroom.
