Senior School Parents Enjoy an Evening of Revision Skills
Senior School parents enjoyed an evening of active learning and revision skills on Tuesday evening. The new Head of PSHE, Miss Power, opened the evening with some mind-challenging activities, whilst Mr Muskin and Mrs Goody encouraged parent to visualise and to put on their memory SPECS – to See it, Personalise it, Exaggerate it, Connect it and Share it. The new Headmaster, Mr Hoyle, was on hand to reinforce the need for repeated testing and to use mind mapping, in addition to teaching all attending to count to ten in Japanese using physical actions. Thank you to all of the parents attending and for making the event such fun and a great success. The activities will now be delivered to the children in their PSHE lessons and the Parents’ Guide to Revision and Study will be sent to all parents in Years 9 and above.
We next have a Back to School for Junior School and Q7 and Q8 parents on Tuesday 28th September. The next Senior School event will be an evening of Sex, Drugs and Sausage Rolls as we demonstrate how we teach these important PSHE subjects to the children.
