U14 Netball Match Reports

Here are 2 match reports from yesterday’s (17th January) netball captains.

Polly Wilmott Q9 Captain

The U14 match against Akeley Wood School (Cognita rivals) was an exciting game with a sore of 14-2 to us. We were 11-0 up by half time and dominating possession so Miss Power used the opportunity to try out some new players in new positions. Lizzie Tedford had an amazing game trying out centre for the first time and was also voted player of the match by the other team. My player of the match goes to Cleo who was so strong in defence picking up any loose balls and intercepting plenty. My other player goes to Ella who for the whole game was so consistent as goal shooter.

Jess Horton Q10 Captain

The U15 team player excellent against Akeley Wood School. Esther played her first ever match for Quinton and learnt lots throughout the game, making lots of useful tips and interceptions. Emily was amazing at wing attack, always being there and providing a passing option. Millie was brilliant in goal defence, a real presence in the shooting circle and denying the shooters most opportunities to shoot. We worked really well as a team and it’s a positive start to the season. Final score 29-5 to us.

Well done girls!
