“The 29th of October saw the climax of an amazing 2022 season for QKT. Whilton Mill (our home circuit), played host to the final round of the NatSKA championship, before the Winter off-season break, but this was anything but a quiet wind-down for the Team. We had no less than 8 brand new novice drivers taking part, entering into the world of national level karting for the first time.

A huge well done must go to: Lauren C, Daniel C, Freya C, Preston M, Jensen B, Finlay A, Shaun B & Anastasia B, for racing so well all day and collecting their first signature towards a full racing license. Special mentions must go out to Oliver J & George H, who showed our very own Mr Muskin just how fast, close and competitive kart racing can be. As a Team we’d like to thank Mr Muskin for his attendance and continued support for the club.

Finlay A received the QKT driver of the day trophy for overcoming his nerves and driving beautifully. Mr Barry Smith received the QKT mechanic of the day award for his outstanding tireless contribution to the club behind the scenes.

Tom R, Jack W, Harry W, Cyril S and Kai D represented QKT superbly in the TKM & Rotax high-power classes, and special thanks must go to fellow student Ben H (fresh from the British Championships) who gave up his day to offer his exceptional mechanical knowledge and support.

Tom H and Hattie S both collected trophies for their outstand performances in the HONDA classes, with Gabriel T and Evie A hot on their heels!

Both Gabby J and Else S continue to grow in speed and confidence as they rise through the novice ranks.

There is no rest for the wicked at QKT as we enter a busy Winter Programme, of practise and testing – Winter Work = Summer Success. Merry Christmas to all of QHS from QKT.”
