Year 6 Pupils come 8th in Regional Hockey Finals

Two of our Year 6 pupils took part in a regional hockey tournament at the end of April. Felicity and Isabelle did extremely well to be selected as they were competing in a much older age group. Here’s what Isabelle had to say about the tournament:
Felicity and I were fortunate enough to be selected and play for Northampton Saints Hockey Club in the regional finals, which took place at Nottingham Hockey Centre on Sunday 30th April 2017. Our group finished in 2nd place after playing 3 matches, winning against Boots 1-0 and Telford 1-0, and losing against Burton 0-5. In the second round, we unfortunately lost all of our matches against Stourbridge and Matlock, finishing the competition in 8th place, out of 16 teams. We both played defensive roles, sticks down all the way! It was a great experience for us both and we thoroughly enjoyed it!
Well done girls!
